This is an old revision of the document!
These are the applicable rules for use of this instance. These rules are to assist in ensuring that all users within and outside of this instance are able to enjoy and utilize the fediverse in a reasonable way. Infractions will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
As this instance is a private invite-only instance, we reserve the right to remove any user at any time for any reason. Enforcement action as a result of an infraction is non-negotiable. This service and instance is provided free of charge, and offers no guarantees.
Loli or sexual content of questionable age is expressly prohibited. Your account will be revoked without question, and without exception.
Content warnings are there to help folks decide what content they're in a position to consume. These provide helpful tools to ensure the experience of those on this instance, as well as those outside of this instance, are able to curate their experience while managing content that may unintentionally result in an unwanted impact.
Content warnings are to be used for any sensitive content, including, but not limited to, insects, bodily fluids, adult content, and any other potentially upsetting or sensitive topics. If you are unsure if a topic requires a content warning, err on the side of caution and add one. (It's the 'Subject' line on the Web UI).
This rule set is a first run, and does its' best to encompass the small community we've grown around us. We know that there will be comments and questions, and inevitable refinement of our rule set, and we thoroughly welcome it! (It's why we used a wiki ;) )
This instance was stood up in the wake of a certain blue bird getting caught in a pocket of methane that escaped a sad hole. While this initially was meant to be an internal use project, it quickly filled the need that quite a few folks around us were looking for – A no nonsense, safe space with reasonably available moderation staff who values community over growth. Remember, we're no longer in the midst of the big blue bird. It's about connections, not clout chasing. Hope to see you out there!
Inevitably, there will be a time in which we may need to action on a report. Our guidelines are as follows:
As we mentioned, we're always looking for feedback and ways to improve and better serve users of our instance, and our fediverse neighbors at large. If you've got a question, comment, or concern, please do not hesitate to reach out at @kaloni@oopsall.gay
